The world beyond your child’s education can look pretty daunting. Job needs are changing, and choosing the right path for further education or vocational skill training is not always clear. As your student is preparing for the transition into “adulting,” there is a lot he or she needs to learn that isn’t taught in the classroom, like creating and reaching goals, learning how to apply for a job, or acting appropriately in social situations.
How well does your student communicate? Can they actually write a proper email or resume? Can they engage in a face-to-face discussion with a professor or an interview with a potential employer?
